The tarmac is open!!! Part 2

The next aircraft was a Maule.  It has 185 horsepower and cruses at 100 mph. It's a nice airplane because of the horsepower and cruse speed. Also, it can seat five people and go on floats.

Next was the Expedition,a four door five seat float plane. It's made by the same manufacturer as a Maule. it has 210 horsepower and cruses at 150 mph. I liked it because of the horsepower but also the large seaplane doors and the 150 mph cruse. But they only started making them a few years ago so they are about two hundred and eighty thousand dollars.

The next airplane is still one of my favorites, a Cessna 206 turbo amphibian.  Its got six seats and a cruse speed of 180 mph and 180 horsepower. The main reason I liked this aircraft is the six person haul and the speed... pretty fast but not to fast; a great 'hopper' from lake to lake.

This one is a Pilatus p-c 6, I don't know the exact speed or horsepower but for 1.2 million dollars I     would guess its pretty high.

This particular aircraft is Taylor craft. Its cruse speed is  85 mph and it has only 75 horsepower.
It can go on floats but that decreases the speed to 65 mph so as you can see it is a slow plane.

Next was a Cessna ag cat, with 275 horsepower and a cruse speed of 200 mph, it only seats one person because its a crop duster (or sprayer).

This is my favorite, an aero comp 10.  660 horsepower and a cruse speed of 280 mph and it can seat 10 people. It also can be built by you.

The Tarmac Is Open!!!! Part 1

I got a new interest, Planes.
It all started when we moved and I wanted to fly back to Minnesota.
The first was the Piper super cub, It has 120 horsepower and cruses at 95 mph.
Next was the Aviat Husky.  It has 180 horsepower and cruses at 100mph.
Aviat aircraft broke away from piper aircraft because the inventor designed a more "husky" design.

You can see the similarity between the two, bush tires, tail wheel, single door, two tandem seats, high wing and even the throttle is in the same spot!!!

                                     Part 2 is coming soon!!!!

Finally a update

It has been quite a while since last time I posted. Scout has been growing very fast
and is already taller than Apple. He is very fast and loves to chase rabbits. We butchered our chickens so now Scout is free and doesn't need to be locked up.

(Here are some pictures from lately.)

Scout and I are starting training tonight. First Daddy and I go tonight, and next week Scout gets to come with us. We got new calves, and they got out when we got home and one ran really far. The next day the neighbor caught him for us.
We are all done with school and are going on a trip to Texas for a conference. I am going to do a report on the Alamo ( Daddy said he is going to do a report on the beach) . We also are going to Corpus Christi and a hotel where Theodore Roosevelt recruted his ruff riders.

Scout got to go to an Easter egg hunt. We won a lot of passes to Leashes and Leads dog park and some treats. He got another round of  shots. He is growing and getting to go on jogs. I'm trying to chicken train him but he still thinks they are little friends.
